Pastor Jim began his service at Trinity in June of 2007. He came to us from Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Canton, Ohio. He is joined by his wife, Karen and daughter Melinda. They also have three more grown daughters, three are married and live out of state. "It is a joy for me to serve the Lord as your pastor. I count it a privilege to be called to this place to do mission & ministry. May the Lord bless all of us as we seek to serve Him with excellence."

Administrative Assistant: Sharron Harding
Sharron Harding began working for Trinity in May of 2003. She lives in China Spring, Texas and is married to David Harding. Her children are Daughter Mandi and Son-in-Law, Bryan. Her grandchildren are Austin and Matthew.

Business Manager: Grant Carroll
Grant Carroll serves as our Business Manager. He and his wife Janelle are members
of Trinity and live in China Spring. They moved here from South Dakota in 1996 were they operated a large family farm as well as being engaged in a refinishing and remodeling business. Grant first worked in the Waco area as a Franchise Executive and Franchise Systems Manager and later also owned and operated a small trucking company. Grant and Janelle have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Director of Worship Arts: Joseph Gastler
Trinity is excited to begin the expansion of their staff with the addition of Joe Gastler as full-time director of Music Ministries. Joe will also be assisting in areas of youth, children's and men's ministries. Joe grew up at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Nassau Bay, Texas and from kindergarten on he participated in as many music ministry opportunities as he could. He has experience with children's choir, adult choir, drama, hand bells, orchestra, brass, praise team and organ. Joe and his wife Jessica have been members of Trinity since 2008. He is a native of Houston, recently received his Masters degree from Baylor.

So, what is a Connecting Director?
Define Connect:

There are many items in our world that connect: cables, wires, ropes, chains, satellites, airplanes, trains, and buses to name a few. My favorite is the image of a bridge that opens up access from one side to the other. As the connecting director, I hope to be a "bridge" to help each of you reach UP to God, OUT to the world and IN to each other according to our mission. Working for a fuller heaven!
Karen and her husband Michael have been married for 32 years and have 3 adult children and 4 grandsons - all live outside of Texas. She grew up in Arlington, graduated from UTA and has worked with nonprofit organizations for over 25 years in program planning, fundraising, research and volunteer coordinating. They raised the family in Arlington and moved to Waco in 2006. "After being greeted by friendly and 'real' people when we came to Trinity, we knew it was our home from the first visit."

Director of Child Care: Shelly Gray
Shelly has been a member of Trinity since 2007 and directs the secure child care available to worshippers. Children are accounted for individually and guardians are provided with electronic notification devices if problems arise.
