On Wednesday evenings, Dr. Alden Smith leads a Bible study at his home. At 6 pm, the study starts; at 7 pm, a potluck dinner is shared.

Dr. Smith is a professor of the classics at Baylor, with published works in Latin, Greek and Augustan poetry and Hellenistic and Roman art. He takes a unique approach. Reading and translating on the fly from the original Greek of the Bible, he helps the audience reach a new level of understanding through a questioning approach, with a liberal dose of humor.
