The friends and family at Trinity are entering an exciting time on our journey of faith as we begin a 3-year sacrificial stewardship emphasis campaign designed to "reach up, reach out and reach in, all for a fuller heaven." We pray that this will be a spiritual journey for all of us as the Holy Spirit stretches us and enables us to move our ministry forward.

One purpose of this campaign is to complete some facets of our building program. Although we are growing in grace and numbers here at Badger Ranch, some items could not be completed as construction drew to a close in the spring of 2008. Some furnishings for offices, classrooms and other functional spaces have yet to be purchased and installed. A large array of playground equipment for children ages 5-12 lies in storage, awaiting reconstruction because of additional needs for site improvement. Additional parking spaces were also deferred.

September 2009 Update

Pavilion

To date, approximately 17% of the pledges have been fulfilled. The funds have provided the opportunity to finish the flooring and kitchen area in the pavilion, making it more user-friendly to start a new Children's Church - age-appropriate lessons for little ones conducted during the regular sermon time. Parent's Night Out has also found a permanent home. And the space is ready for After School Care as that program develops next spring. Plans are being finalized to finish way-finding signage and sinks in service areas and nursery-toddler classrooms and coffee bars.

Some of these items will serve to make ministry easier; most will truly enable the expansion the mission and ministry of Trinity in 5 key areas as we continue to grow and search for ways to reach out to the community, by significantly impacting:

  • Children - through permanently staffed after school programs and necessary age-appropriate play equipment
  • Youth - with additional staff to create appropriate programming for young people and encourage their involvement in ministry at Trinity
  • Outreach - funding educational programming to teach members how to go about touching lives with the caring of Christ himself, all for a fuller heaven
  • Seniors - offering a variety of programming to involve seniors and assist community-wide with other programs like Meals on Wheels
  • Special Ministries - reaching in through the support of a variety of small group ministries, essential to a healthy, connected and well functioning body of Christ

Preparing our Hearts and Minds

The Lord has graciously given us the opportunity to meditate during the next few weeks on some key Scriptural passages as part of our ministry expansion stewardship program. There is so much richness and wonder in Scripture regarding Christian life management that it is virtually impossible for a pastor to adequately share all that richness and wonder with you in a few 15-minute sermons.
