LUTHERAN BRAILLE WORKERS was organized in 1945 by Helene Loewe Koehler.
From one person LBW has grown to an international organization of over 7,000 volunteers at over 200 work centers in the US and Canada producing 200,000 Braille and 600,000 Large Print bibles, Lutheran Hour sermons and pamphlets that are sent free all around the world.
Work Center #75 was organized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riesel in 1973 and moved to Trinity, Waco in 1974. Since that time we have produced over 21,000 volumes of Braille.
We produce 1 Kings in English, Matthew and John in Malayalam language, Spanish hymnal, Red Boots for Christmas grade 1, Red Boots for Christmas grade 2, The First Christmas and The First Easter in English.

Twenty-seven devoted workers worked 1,590 hours using 52,567 sheets of paper to produce 1,794 books of Braille shipped to 30 countries.
