Dr. Alden Smith is a professor of the classics at Baylor, with published works in Latin, Greek and Augustan poetry and Hellenistic and Roman art. He takes a unique approach to leading Trinity Lutheran Church's Bible Study each Sunday. Reading and translating on the fly from the original Greek of the Bible, he helps the audience reach a new level of understanding through a questioning approach, with a liberal dose of humor. Dr. Smith also conducts a popular and growing Bible Study each Wednesday evening at 6 pm at his house.
